The Envision by STX Putters

STX (pronounced stix) started using Elastomeric inserts in their putters in the 1980's. These inserts cradle the ball at impact which creates less skidding and a better roll of the golf ball. The inserts come in different degrees of hardness for different types of putters. The Envision Putter was designed by Bob Engman the Master Club Designer for STX who is also an accomplished artist as well. This putter is the first in his impressionist series of clubs which blend form, function, and technology to create the ultimate in performance.

We used an Envision Putter just like the one in the picture. It featured a medium hard face insert and a soft supple grip. The head itself looked as much like a sculpture as it did like a part of a golf club. It had a really nice feel to it and we all found that it helped us roll the ball better. Because putting is so much about feel and confidence it is nice to have a putter that makes you feel good before you get over the ball with it. The Envision more that fits the bill in all those regards.
