The Mental Keys

The Mental Keys to Improve your golf was written by Michael Anthony as mental training program to help lower your golf scores. It consists of a book that address such issues as desire, goals, performance over time, ways to improve your brain chemistry, and how to think in terms of the big picture.  The CD is called polishing the wheel and can be used as a daily reminder of everything that is in the book.

Like most of us golfers, I find myself in this constant struggle to improve my game. Which ever aspect of my game that was most obviously the problem on the course, that is the one I would try and fix at the driving range during the week. It seemed as though I can never get all aspects of my game fixed at the same time. Sometimes it's the driver, sometimes it's my irons, and sometimes it's chipping and putting. The one common denominator in all that is it makes me mad (a little). One bad shot leads to another and then another because of my rotten attitude. The Mental Keys book and CD deal with those sort of things. Not that you should substitute physical practice for mental practice, but you need to supplement that with some mind work.

I have only just read the book and listened to the CD and already I have picked up on some things to think about on and off the course. It goes beyond just being a better golfer but being a better person as well. Like any other "Aid" you need to use it and apply the lessons you learn over time, to really reap the benefits.
