LA Jolla Knife Irons

Established in 1991, La Jolla Club Golf Company "made"  the junior golf market by disregarding the "cut-down" industry approach and designing clubs specifically for young players. In the ensuing years, La Jolla Club secured its golf niche leadership role and reputation   for innovation by expanding into women's and senior golf clubs with products including Lady Accent and Lady Velvet which both feature the company's patented Triple Notch Shaft Technology.

In 2003, La Jolla Club introduced the innovative Knife fairway woods, followed by the introduction of the Tour Knife and Junior Knife in 2004. The Knife infomercial has launched and the Knife is being played by many tour professionals and amateurs around the world. 2005 promises to be another exciting year with the introduction of the Knife Hybrids and Irons.

We played a set of the Knife Irons ( 4 - PW ) which included one Knife Hybrid in place of the 3 iron. The irons have some unique features like Hollow Core Weighting, Inner Tungsten Weight, A Vibration Absorption Ring, A Low Back Center of Gravity, and  The Patented 3-Blade Technology. What this means to you is simply longer straighter shots. These irons are longer for sure than my old set of clones, with a more solid feel. The Knife Hybrid was a pleasant addition as well. Depending on how well you hit your long irons you may opt for one or more of the available lofts. Hybrids do have a different feel to them so you still need to practice with them to get used to them.
