The Shingle Creek Golf Club opened in December 2003 and is located on Universal Blvd. just north of the Bee Line exp. (528) close to I-4 and east of the Orange County Convention Center. The course is part of the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort  which opened in 2006. In addition to world class golf the resort features rock climbing, bird watching, boating, bike riding, tennis, swimming, and fitness facilities. These additional recreational activities are ideal for convention participants and make Shingle Creek unique among Orlando's many Hotels.

The golf course was designed by David Harman who designed over 150 courses world wide including such Orlando favorites as Orange County National, Magnolia Plantation, and Plantation Palms near Tampa. The course plays over 7200 yards from the tips and features dense tree lined fairways and water in play on 15 of the holes. The course was built to preserve the natural beauty of the Shingle Creek water way while creating a playable yet challenging golf experience. The course and clubhouse features such amenities as a State of the art driving range, putting green, and practice areas. Rental clubs are available from several of the top equipment  manufacturers. Golf carts feature a GPS yardage system, club protector, club and ball cleaners, and a drink cooler. Men's and Women's locker room facilities are available with showers. Complimentary valet parking is also available.

There have been more than 50,000 rounds of golf played this year, a significant one-year total for any golf course. Shingle Creek has twice hosted both the Grey Goose Putt For A Million and regional auditions for The Big Break, the Golf Channel's reality-based television show. The course has also been the site of the Scott Hoch Tee-Lo Invitational, Golfweek's Super News Test Drive and the UCF Coaches Classic, among others. Shingle Creek has held more than 150 outings so far. The course was named one of the top 40 new courses in the US by Golfweek and one of the toughest courses you can play by Orlando Business Journal.

We enjoyed playing there when it first opened and then again almost two years later. There course has grown in a lot and matured over the last couple of years and is in the best shape ever. We recommend a round of golf at Shingle Creek ASAP. For more info about the course and the resort visit their website at  www.shinglecreekgolf.com
