Falcon's Fire Golf Club is conveniently located just off of the Osceola Parkway right near I-4. It is only minutes away from Disney and other area attractions. So no matter where you are staying in the Orlando area Falcon's Fire is within striking distance.

The course plays over 6900 yards from the Back tees, and over 5400 yards from the Forward tees. We play the Blue Tees at 6473 and that is probably a bit too much for us. The White Tees are only around 6000 yards and that takes a lot of the character out of some of the holes. The par 5s and par 3s are not too long, but there are some really tough par 4s especially 18 at 452 yards from the blue Tees. You won't forget that one any time soon.

The course was designed by Rees Jones and features water on about half the holes. The greens at Falcon's Fire were in excellent condition as was everything else. This course is well known for it's overall conditioning which is what keeps players coming back again and again. Even the driving range featured nice grass to hit off of.

As pretty as Falcon's is, the photographs we took do not do justice to how the course looks and plays. Especially my favorite hole, number 13, a long par 4 called "Bunker Hill". It is a dog leg right around a lake, that features an array of bunkers on the left side of the fairway. This forces you to choose between the water and this assortment of sand pits. Obviously the water is worse so these bunkers see a lot of action. I, for one found quite a few of theses over the years.

Check out Falcon's Fire, one of Orlando's very best golf courses.
